Saturday, October 15

The Litigation Group’s Past, Present and Future
10 AM to 3 PM
Warren Room at the Kennedy-Warren, 3131/3133 Connecticut Avenue, NW

Pastries and coffee and tea will be available beginning at 9:30.

Photos and memorabilia from various eras will be on display.  Please bring what you have!

Morning Session, 10 to noon:

At 10, Ralph will talk to us for 15 minutes, about how he came to found a Litigation Group within Public Citizen, how he settled on  Alan, and how he chose to let Alan steer the Group's course instead of micromanaging its caseload.
 

Then, each of the directors — Alan, David, Brian and Allison — will discuss the challenges and changes that the group has faced during their time.  Our current SCAP fellow will interview Alan about the beginnings of the Supreme Court Assistance Project.

Box Lunch at about noon

Afternoon Session: 1 to 3 PM
Each of the current Groupers present will talk about one of their cases and how it fits into the  Group's program.  Then we will have a broader discussion about some of the  recurring issues and how we can address them.

Sunday, October 16
Brunch for those inclined to further socializing.  Food will be available as early  as 9:30 AM, but we'll linger as long as folks want to hang together, likely to noon or 1 PM
